GTM Campaign Lab
If I test one message on one segment, will I know what happened?
- Who uses it
- A rep or GTM lead about to send outreach from an account event or a release, instead of a generic sequence.
- Decision it enables
- Keep the message, change it, or stop.
- Working today
- Outbound plays and ICP notes from the field. No campaign tool in this repository.
Workflow and next steps
- Inputs → review → output
- One segment → one message → a readout of what to change. Not built.
- Planned next
- One measured send. Not designed past this page.
- Technologies in this repo or a linked project
- None.
What a team actually used
Outbound plays and ICP profiles. Not a campaign product.
Proposed software, separate from that asset
Not designed beyond this sketch.
Where it stands
Concept. There is no implementation in this repository.
My role
I have written outbound plays and ICP profiles at Truffle, and a new-market playbook at Quantcast. I have not built a system that measures those experiments.
Metric to test
No metric. If I build it, the test is one segment, one hypothesis, and a readout that changes the next send.

How it works
The problem I kept seeing
Outbound and GTM experiments are often disconnected from product and customer signals and poorly measured.
Campaigns should start from accounts and product context, not a generic sequence.
Without a repeatable answer: Activity without attribution. No iteration loop.
What I was working from
Outbound plays and ICP work at Truffle, plus Quantcast new-market playbooks — experiments existed, measurement did not live in one system.
Workflow
Signals / accounts → Enrichment → Segmentation → Message hypothesis → Campaign → Event tracking → Analytics → Iteration
In plain language
Signals → Segment → Hypothesis → Campaign → Measurement
Described stack — not what this repository runs
Names below are a sketch. They are not completed integrations unless the technology section says Built with.
Account signals · Campaign tool · Event tracking · Analytics
Segment · Hypothesis · Campaign · Event · Outcome
Next. Not started as software.
Goals
- Segment from signals, run a hypothesis, track events, iterate.
Out of scope
- A full marketing automation suite.
Smallest version
One segment, one message hypothesis, event tracking, a read-out.
Question that version tests: Does tying campaigns to product/customer signals improve pipeline efficiency?
Metrics I would watch
These are not results unless the section above says they are on record.
- Faster GTM experimentation
- Response rate
- Iteration count
- Hypothesis: higher pipeline efficiency from better segmentation
If campaigns start from product and customer signals, outreach should be more relevant and attribution should improve. Next — not built.
Tradeoffs
- One measured experiment over a spray of sequences.
What I would build next
- Connect to release and feedback signals once those systems exist.
