About · Leader
Curious by nature. Builder by instinct. I studied advertising and business foundations at The University of Texas at Austin. Advertising taught me to make complex ideas clear and relevant to the audience. Enterprise cybersecurity sales taught me to connect that story to technical evidence and a buying decision.
My career is grounded in hands-on enterprise cybersecurity selling—from complex buyer conversations and technical evaluations to deal execution. I also coach newer sellers and build practical tools and processes that teams can reuse.
My guiding philosophy
I listen, coach and share context so a teammate can succeed without depending on one person for every answer.
I begin with customer or team friction, test assumptions and identify what would actually help before suggesting a tool.
I document repeatable processes, define ownership and build small workflows that others can improve.
My approach to leadership combines accountability with curiosity: clear expectations, thoughtful feedback, evidence-based decisions and room for people to develop their own strengths.
The approach behind the work
Enterprise selling sits at the center. Strategy, leadership and building are the ways I connect people, decisions and practical systems. Choose a pillar to explore the evidence.

The work at the center
Full-cycle enterprise cybersecurity sales across security, engineering, and executive buyers.
Full-cycle work comes first. The public record describes responsibilities and selected agreements; customers, contract details and unsupported metrics are omitted.
Around enterprise selling
Understand markets and buyers, identify patterns and opportunities, ask better questions.
Competitive briefs and field playbooks shared with teammates, separating validated observations from assumptions.
Threat-intelligence playbooks the Rapid7 portfolio team used.
Around enterprise selling
Create alignment, own commercial execution, coach and develop people, move complex decisions forward.
At Truffle Security, coach SDRs and newer sellers and support onboarding across sales, solutions architecture, and customer success.
At Darktrace, coached newer sellers on discovery, competitive positioning, and value-based selling.
Coaching and onboarding support alongside a quota. Not a direct-management title.
Around enterprise selling
Turn ideas into practical tools, experiments, and repeatable systems.
At work: shared discovery, ICP, competitive, and POC resources the Truffle Security sales team adopted.
On my own: independent builds and research live in Side Quests. They are not employer deployments.
My path has moved from advertising and channel GTM into enterprise cybersecurity sales, team coaching, and practical systems building. The experience timeline highlights the organizations and kinds of work that shaped that path.

Professional practice
I connect discovery, technical evaluation and commercial conversations into a clear account strategy.

This site is a Next.js App Router app in heyfunwhoa/byjoyaing-portfolio: React, TypeScript, and Tailwind, hosted on Vercel. I write it in Cursor. The portfolio source is on GitHub. The coverage sample is hardcoded here. A logo in the GTM toolkit is a product I have used or am learning — not a live integration.

Learning — not a product
I would want a fixed shape for a brief or a coverage cell. This site does not call a model.
If a line is generated, it has to come from text I retrieved. Missing stays not evaluated.
There is no database write and no scheduled ingest in this repository.
The coverage sample follows that rule by hand. Gray means not evaluated.
Beyond work
I enjoy the process of discovering, making, and learning—whether I'm exploring a new sound, figuring out how something works, or trying a creative project for the first time. Those interests are part of my story, not just a list of hobbies.
House, techno, trance and the energy of discovering a great set.
Hands-on DIY, working on cars and learning woodworking.
Trying unfamiliar creative projects.
